Natick Veterans Stories | How to Participate

How to Participate

Participation in the Natick Veterans Oral History Project is for Massachusetts veterans, both men and women, who have served in the Armed Forces. In addition, interviews are recorded for those who helped on the home front during World War II (e.g.: border or light patrollers, factory workers). All interviews are done at the Morse Institute Library, which is at 14 East Central St., Natick, Mass.

Interviews are taped in a comfortable study room at the library. Each interview lasts approximately one hour. The interviews are copied and catalogued.  An original DVD is archived. The second DVD is catalogued and available to the public. The third DVD is given to the veteran for his/her personal use*.

Questions for the interview may be obtained prior to the interview, along with two release forms (one form gives permission to Morse Institute Library and Natick Pegasus to use the recordings for educational purposes; the other form is to have a photo taken after the interview, which becomes part of the library's archives) and a personal information form (which asks for branch of service, years, stations and commendations).

For additional information on the Morse Institute Library’s Veterans Oral History Project, contact Maureen Sullivan, Coordinator, at 508-647-6400, ext. 1533, or by email at

* Due to copyright and privacy issues, the DVDs are not to be distributed for commercial purposes.
