SYNOPSIS OF INTERVIEW
Harry Westcott was drafted into the Army in August 1943, shortly before his 19th birthday. Westcott became a part of the 75th Infantry Division as “the man with the radio” who would accompany a lieutenant as he communicated with other units – often under heavy fire. Westcott took part in the Battle of the Bulge and other campaigns to drive the Germans out of France and Belgium.
He earned a Bronze Star and the French Legion of Honor.
