Lois Hanchett Harper

SYNOPSIS OF INTERVIEW

Lois Hanchett was born in South Natick in 1923, and lived on the family farm near the Dover town line until she went to Middlebury College. She talks about life in Natick during that time, especially while attending Coolidge Junior High School and Walnut Hill School. She also talks about government “spies” working a radio station out of her family’s farm during World War II and her brother, George, who helped develop the atom bomb.
