SYNOPSIS OF INTERVIEW
Charlotte Lastnik was a civilian secretary in the U.S. Army during World War II; she describes going to area hospitals to take down interviews from former prisoners of war. She talks about life on the homefront, from rationing and gas cards to air raid wardens.
She also talks about her husband, Abraham, who served in a tank battalion in Europe during the war. Later, he worked as a chemist and design engineer for Natick Labs.
